New and improved mechanical arm

This young man lost his arm to a gator after a swim in a ditch. He's been given this $100,000 prosthetic arm, the most advanced in the world. Awesome. Check out the whole article here.

I found this pretty interesting website for anatomy and physiology. It's not overly detailed in a lot of the more intricate things you might need in everyday work, but it's still pretty interesting and animated. You can view the site here.

OUT THROUGH THE OLD YACKITY YACK

On Wednesday, March 12, 2008, surgeons at UC San Diego Medical Center performed what is believed to be the country's first removal of a diseased appendix through the mouth. This is pretty cool, kind of creepy but totally cool. Any kind of surgery that can be accomplished without cutting a new hole in someone's body is a miracle. Can't wait to start typing this kind of report.
