Virtual Schizophrenia

There is a pretty interesting article here about a company who produced a tour of what it's like to live with schizophrenia. It's pretty disturbing to listen to. You need to have Real Player to listen but it's worth it and will give you a pretty good understanding of what it's like to have voices in your head.

There is also a webcast by Joanne Silberner here that explains it in more depth.

You can also listen directly to the audio without reading the article here... http://www.npr.org/ramfiles/atc/pharmacy/20020829.atc.pharmacy.ram

The game Second Life also has a virtual reality thing where you can go through and be immersed in schizophrenia, that's really the only way I can explain it accurately. You can learn more here

or here's a video of what it's like.
